Ruby456. That is true what you say for the USA, correct me if that is not the case. But inciting hate against a group of people is against the law in some lands like Germany for instance, this is due to their past when considering the Nazi era. In the UK this inquiry about the "mentally diseased" has been ongoing for some time now, so there must be some serious considerations going in by the investigative group. -

One of the last assignments I had in the congregation just before I left was about JW.ORG, how we can lead people to the website.
I flatly refused to do this.My reasoning was that this website does not in anyway glorify Jehovah or Jesus, but just a man-made organization. The brother who did carry out the assignment was very good in glorifying the website and the organization, Jehovah and Jesus were never mentioned.

by Gorbatchov intonight gorby and his wife watched a part of the 2015 may edition of jw broadcasting.

is there some way we ( whoever may want to ) can donate a small amount of money to the wt that will cost it more to collect and process than its worth--a net loss ?
I guess you could send them a cheque, where the amount in words is different from the figures, they will send it back to you and ask for another, or request you make a bank transfer
or
send them a treasure map with a cross on it, don't forget the scull and crossbones in the top left hand corner. -

@d4g
Dead right.
I have been reading a lot lately on cults and manipulative mine control, one thing many cults use is music and singing, I wonder when this will be added to their song book.

Consider these watchtower comments:
- Watchtower 2013 Apr 15 p.11
"Strong hope enables us to resist apostates and their gangrenous "empty speeches." - Examining
the Scriptures Daily
2011 Aug 18 p.83
"Satan was the first creature to turn apostate. Modern-day apostates display characteristics similar to those of the Devil. Their mind may be poisoned by a critical attitude toward individuals in the congregations, Christian elders, or the Governing Body. Some apostates oppose the use of the divine name, Jehovah. They are not interested in learning about Jehovah or in serving him. Like their father, Satan, apostates target people of integrity. (John 8:44) No wonder servants of Jehovah avoid all contact with them!" - Watchtower 2004 Feb 15 p.28
- "It
would be a mistake to think that you need to listen to apostates or to read their
writings to refute their arguments. Their twisted, poisonous reasoning can
cause spiritual harm and can contaminate your faith like rapidly spreading
gangrene. (2 Timothy 2:16, 17) Rather, imitate God's response to apostates. Job
said of Jehovah: "Before him no apostate will come in." - Job
13:16."
- Watchtower 2000 May 1 p.10
"Some apostates are increasingly using various forms of mass communication, including the Internet, to spread false information about Jehovah's Witnesses."
I find this one particularly interesting, since I started looking at these so called apostate sites, I fine very little false information, it is almost always true, so who is spreading false information?
- Watchtower 1992 July 15 pp.12-13 Christ Hated
Lawlessness-Do You?
"The obligation to hate lawlessness also applies to all activity by apostates. Our attitude toward apostates should be that of David, who declared: "Do I not hate those who are intensely hating you " - Watchtower 1985 July 15 p.31
"Such ones [apostates] willfully abandoning the Christian congregation thereby become part of the 'antichrist.' (1 John 2:18, 19)"
I copied these quotes from:
http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/quotes/apostates.php
and there are many more.
Saying that apostates are "mentally diseased" is just adding to all the crap they have said in the past.
And clearly they are inciting active JWs to hate apostates.- Watchtower 2011 Jul 15 p.11
Apostates do not care about us.
On the contrary, we care very much about those stuck in the bOrg, we have family and friends there, that is why we do this.

Maybe there is something we are all missing here, as to the reason they need the money.
We all know that they make investments, we do not know what kind of investments. If they have had excess money in the past and intelligently invested this money, then that is fine I do not think anybody will find that bad or dishonest.
But what if they speculated with the money? that's a different matter. Just simply moving the money to another currency can be dangerous. In January the US$ gained 25% (briefly) in a very short space of time against the Swiss Franc due to a decision made be the Swiss Central Bank. This resulted in some hedge funds loosing a lot of money, so the question in my mind is, where does the Watchtower have its funds parked?
With some types of investments (speculative), the investor must inject even more money if there is a significant movement in the wrong direction. -

Contributions, lets do a survey.
by Driving Force inthere is a lot of talk on how much the organization has and how much they receive in contributions.
now with the latest begging video from lett, maybe we as an ex jw community, try to figure this out together.. this is just an idea and i want to get other opinions on this.. if enough members who actually know the figures from their (last) kh for the building fund and other contributions are willing to enter this information on a website, we can use these figures to estimate the actual amount the organization is receiving from the publishers.. the figure will never be accurate, but i think it would be fun..

@menrov
And the WBTS also invest in shares and bonds. Hard to estimate the income or losses on that...Very true, but my idea is more along the lines of contributions from the congregations. Their income from assets is not really what I as thinking about.
But if there is somebody who really knows how to get that information it would be awesome. -

@ A Watcher
I believe Jehovah is directing the GB on most of their MAJOR decisions.
Is it a major decision to protect pedophile members or a minor decision?
So the GB is learning humility by allowing victims to be punished and perpetrators to be free.
Please explain that to me. -
